I agree with the writer and feel that monkeys should not be killed just to control the wildlife population.
Instead there are better alternatives that the writer has stated that are reasonable and more humane. The AVA is still resorting to culling which is a cruel and deliberate act to end an animal's life. I do not think that this is the right way to control the population. We should sterilize monkeys or microchip them so that their movements and numbers can be monitored .
I find that sterilization is the best alternative in controlling the population of these animals as it is not as cruel as killing them just because they are over-populated. I find that we should first find out the root problem before trying to resort to other means to decrease the population size as it may not the right way to treat these innocent animals.
They definitely deserve much better treatment.
