Don't be too quick to paint of poor picture of Singaporeans

Don't be too quick to paint of poor picture of Singaporeans (The Straits Times Forums, 14 April 15)

Mr Koh Poh Tiong, chairman, from the Singapore Kindness Movement stated that Singaporeans shouldn't be judged as rude because of a few rude Singaporeans. There are always rotten apples and thus we should be represented by the small portion. The other reason he used that was that if something bad happened, 5 out of 10 would be shared to the world. However, if something good happens, only 1 out of 10 would be shared.
One such example of Singapore's kindness is from my personal experience, where I fell asleep in the train and did not wake up when it reached the end station. An aunty came up to me and tapped my shoulder, waking me up. I think this shows that there are still kind Singaporeans and we should not be judged by a few incidents.
